The firm is new, and the experience is its engineers' own
Udhyam AI Labs Private Limited is a newly incorporated company, and it has no client work to show yet. The experience described on these pages was gained by its engineers in earlier roles.
Profiles before the first technical call
Before the first technical call we send you the names and working histories of the engineers who would do your work. Each profile states the country that engineer works from, and you are welcome to interview them before anything is signed.
What senior means here
By senior we mean an engineer who has carried responsibility for production systems and has led work of this kind. The profiles let you check that for yourself.
A first step with a fixed fee
Every engagement starts with a fixed-fee assessment. The Working with us page sets out what it examines and what you keep.
Our mission is to take technically hard problems through to a working system.
By hard we mean work that crosses several layers of the stack, that has to be done while the system stays in service, or where a wrong answer is expensive to reverse. We are accountable for the result in the scope agreed in the statement of work, which is a different commitment from installing a product or supplying staff for a client to direct.
We intend to be chosen for the difficulty of the problems we can solve.
Indian engineering services have been sold mainly on cost for about three decades. We intend to be hired for work that is difficult, and to be judged on whether the system passes the acceptance tests agreed in writing for each milestone.
How we are built
Four decisions about structure shape how a client works with us.
Nothing is subcontracted
All engineering on your engagement is done by engineers engaged directly by Udhyam and named in the statement of work. None of it is passed to another company. It limits how fast we can grow, and we accept that.
Two engineers on every engagement
The engineer who scopes the work leads it and is your day to day contact. A second engineer follows the engagement from the first day and can take it over. If the lead has to change, you are told first.
A limited number of engagements
We take on only as much work as this structure can staff. If we are full when you ask, we will give you a start date or decline. We do not subcontract the work.
Technical and commercial together
Sizing and buy, colocate or rent recommendations are worked through as capital cost, depreciation and running cost in your currency, with every assumption visible to your finance team. Your engineers see the same result as a cost per million tokens.
Describe the problem, and an engineer will reply within one working day
Tell us in general terms what you are trying to do and what has stopped it. If it is not ours to take on, we will say so.
